June 210 AMOYSTER RELOCATION.CBOCS is moving oysters from Fishing Creek to the Chesapeake Bay. The location is Abner’s Boat Yard. Need 25+ volunteers to unload cages, count spat, scrape cages and take the oysters to the bay. GREAT 3 HOUR HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT. Pizza served as usual.
June 2, 5 pm – 7 pm– Bayfront Park Nature Walk & Talk Series: The Coastal Geology of Calvert Cliffs and Bayfront Park Beach(rain date,June 3, 5 – 7 pm) — Join Chesapeake Beach’s own Dr. Ken Rasmussen, Professor of Geology at Northern Virginia Community College, as he describes the dynamic geological forces that formed the cliffs and continues to shape them to this day.
