PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – July 17, 2018 – The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will hold a public hearing Tuesday, July 24, 2018, to consider and receive comments regarding an ordinance that allows Calvert County Government to issue real property tax refunds to Veteran Affairs (VA) confirmed disabled veterans.
The ordinance will refund county property tax to the date of the VA’s determination of disability for a qualified disabled veteran, or the date of the veteran’s death for a qualifying application from a surviving spouse of a qualified disabled veteran.
The hearing will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Commissioners’ Hearing Room in the Calvert County Circuit Courthouse, located at 175 Main St. in Prince Frederick. Citizens are encouraged to view ordinance online.
