News Release, Calvert County Government

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Jan. 18, 2019 – The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners announces county offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 21, in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. In addition:

·         The three county senior centers will be closed Monday, Jan. 21 and Meals on Wheels will not be delivered on these days. However participants are provided shelf-stable meals in advance.

·         There will be no county bus service Monday, Jan. 21.

·         Calvert Library locations will be closed Monday, Jan. 21. All online services are available.

·         All community centers will be closed Monday, Jan. 21.

·         All recreation parks including Dunkirk, Hallowing Point, and Cove Point Park will be open normal hours.

·         All nature parks including Flag Ponds Nature Park and Kings Landing Park will be open normal hours. Battle Creek Cypress Swamp will be closed Monday, Jan. 21.

·         The Appeal Landfill and county convenience centers will be open with regular hours.

·         The Water & Sewerage billing and customer service office will be closed.  Crews will be available for water and sewer service emergencies only.

·         The Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center will be open normal hours.

·         The Calvert Marine Museum will be closed through February due to renovations.

·         The Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter will be closed Monday, Jan. 21.

·         The Chesapeake Hills Golf Course will be open normal hours.
