News Release, Calvert Marine Museum
SOLOMONS, MD – March 19, 2019 –The Calvert Marine Museum Society (CMMS) invites investment advisory firms and individuals to submit proposals outlining their abilities to serve as investment manager for the Society’s endowment portfolio. The market value of this portfolio is approximately $5 million as of January 31, 2019.
The investment advisor will be primarily responsible for directing and managing the investment and reinvestment according to the objectives and policies established by the Board of Directors of the CMMS. Investment practices and procedures must comply with Maryland law and the CMMS Investment Strategy. The investment advisor shall produce investment reports for the organization and shall be able to exercise discretionary authority to execute investment transactions, subject to the constraints established by the CMMS Investment Policy Statements.
Eligible candidates must have at least five years of experience as a financial advisor or financial advising firm for nonprofit organizations with minimum investments of $5 million.
