California, MD- The Southern Maryland State Delegation of Delegate Matt Morgan, Senator Jack Bailey, Delegate Brian Crosby and Delegate Jerry Clark addressed a letter to the Governor of Maryland Thursday, May 9, 2019 for consideration of funding for the Thomas Johnson Bridge.

In the letter the Delegation references the money allocated to the I-495/I-270 expansion in Montgomery County, MD and the heated debates and protest over it. The Southern Maryland Delegation is asking the Governor to consider the money allocated for that project moved to the TJ Bridge project.

The TJ Bridge replacement project has been in the planning stages since 2007 and the Delegation urges the Governor to continue to recognize the need for this project to help alleviate congestion in our region.
