May 18 from 9 am to 12 pm – Tri-County Memory Walk.Farming 4 Hunger, 6932 Serenity Farm Rd. Benedict, MD 20637. This event brings our community together to honor and remember those who have lost their lives to addiction and to plant seeds of hope for those who still suffer. May 18 – Relay By The Bay.The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers. They are asking for a minimum of 3 hours and each volunteer will receive a free volunteer t-shirt. To sign up to volunteer,click here.
May 18 from 8 am – noon. Free Shredding Event for County residents at Huntingtown High School.The Calvert County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division, is hosting a FREE paper shredding event for County residents. The shred event is rain or shine.

The Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse and Calvert County overdose intervention team will hold a Drug-Free workplace training workshopto educate local business owners on the signs and symptoms of substance abuse. The free event will be held at Harriett E. Brown Community Center at 901 Dares Beach Rd. Prince Frederick.

June 1 – CBOCS Oyster transfer from Fishing Creek to Old Rock Reef – spat counting -Abner’s Boat Yard, 10AM – Noon – 25 volunteers needed – pizza at noon.
June 8th END HUNGER DRAGON BOAT RACES at the North Beach boardwalk. Come cheer the Town of Chesapeake Beach on as they race to maintain the Mayor’s Cup.
BINGO!!!Come and join your friends and neighbors and support your local first responders at the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department. Bingo is held every Tuesday. Doors open at 6:00 and games start at 7:30. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Last game of the night is the Jackpot with possible prize of $1000. All proceeds go to support the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department.
