By the authority of Commissioner President Reuben B. Collins, II, Esq., the Charles County flag shall be flown at half-staff as a mark of respect for the memory of Edward Herbert McBride who served over 50 years at the Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter through the ranks to President.

Mr. McBride was also a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.
