During Maryland’s summer months, you’ll find beautiful sunflower fields throughout the state. You may have even visited a couple. But did you know that there’s a sunflower maze hiding in the Old Line State? In fact, the following spot offers two golden mazes to explore! Goldpetal Farms will open for the 2019 season on June 15th.
Not only can you pick-your-own flowers here, but you can also make your way through their TWO sunflower mazes, both located in Southern Maryland. Find one in Chaptico and the other in Morganza.
Each year the maze designs are different, offering twists and turns among yellow and orange sunflowers.

Enjoy the sights as you’re surrounded by summer’s favorite flower…
…and be sure to bring your camera. The mazes are perfect for photo ops. Not only can you pose among the flowers…
…but there are also brightly-painted signs and props that make for a fun and quirky backdrop.
On certain days, you’ll also find an ice cream truck parked here. What a delicious way to cool down after tackling the maze.
Or simply head to Goldpetal Farms to pick some sunflowers. They’re only $1 per stem, while zinnias are 50 cents per stem.
No matter if you come to get lost in the maze for a while or simply for the summery sights, this place is always a good time, no matter your age.
