Prince Frederick, MD, Monday, June 3, 2019 – Since 1975, The Arc Southern Maryland has focused on bringing dreams to fruition by supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through residential, employment, and vocational services. The Gott Company joined this quest in 2010 with a partnership to hire individuals supported by The Arc’s programs within the company’s Fastop Food Stores. Today the partnership continues to grow with the recent donation of $3,335.72 generated for The Arc’s programs through the stores Double the Donation “Got To Give” program.
“On behalf of The Arc Southern Maryland, I want to say how thankful we are to The Gott Company for allowing us to participate in the Double the Donation program and to all the supportive customers who made donations to help us,” says Renee Seigley, The Arc Southern Maryland Director of Development. “We will be using these funds to make some much-needed updates to one of our residential homes and everyone is excited! “
Donations were gathered from customers throughout the first quarter of 2019 and then Doubled once the campaign ended.
“We are in our second year of holding the Double the Donation Campaigns,” explains Johnny Gott, The Gott Company President. “To date, with the help of our Fastop customers, we have provided over $25,000 to local organizations. Now, we are excited to have the opportunity to generate funds for such a longtime partner, The Arc.
The Gott Company looks forward to further developing this relationship as well as finding additional 501 (C)3 organizations to support.
“It takes a team to sustain our community, and we are all in,” says Gott.
Just this year, the company has also raised funds the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, Families affected by the Chesapeake Beach fires and looks forward to generating funds for Calvert Hospice and Team Calvert Crones. Currently, a campaign is running in the Fastop Stores for the Autism Project. The Gott Company’s management staff would like to thank all its customers for their continued participation.
