Multi-state game to offer nightly chance to win $1,000 a day for life

Starting July 1, drawings will be held every night for the Maryland Lottery game where top-tier winners receive $1,000 every day.Cash4Life, which has a top prize of $1,000 a day for life and a second-tier prize of $1,000 a week for life, is expanding from two drawings per week to seven. Tickets cost $2.

Drawings have been conducted Monday and Thursday of each week, but beginning Monday, July 1, drawings will be at 9 p.m. every night. The last of the Monday-Thursday drawings will be June 27.

Maryland is one of nine states participating inCash4Lifeand joined the group starting with the Jan. 28, 2016 drawing. The other participating states are Florida, Georgia, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.

Cash4Lifewas established in 2014 by the lotteries in New Jersey and New York, and drawings are conducted at New Jersey Lottery Headquarters in Trenton, NJ. Drawings can be viewed liveon the Maryland Lottery website. Past drawings can be accessed at the same page.

In addition to the top-tier and second-tier prizes, there areseven other prize tiersranging from $2 to $2,500.
