UPDATE 4:35 p.m.- From SMCSO PIO CPL. Julie Yingling: The individual detained has been released and an application for charges of assault 2nd degree will be applied for on the suspect. Two airsoft guns were recovered from the suspect’s vehicle, and until the suspect is charged he will not be named. No shots were fired and the victim was not injured.

Loveville, MD- On Wednesday afternoon, St. Mary’s County Police were dispatched to the Motor Vehicle Administration in Loveville.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle reached out to St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Cpl. Julie Yingling and she says that it was a reported assault, with one person in custody. She also reports,” no injuries at this time”.
