News Release, Calvert Hospice

Prince Frederick, MD – Calvert Hospice is pleased to provide educational seminars to our community. Attendees will learn about topics that impact end-of-life care for patients and their families. Sessions are designed to encourage group discussion. Our next seminar is entitled Mind and Mood in Dementia and will be held on September 10, 2019 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Calvert Hospice will provide refreshments. The seminar is free.

The location for this educational seminar will be SpringHill Suites (75 Sherry Lane) in Prince Frederick.

Presenter: Kim Burton, Director of Older Adult Programs for the Mental Health Association of Maryland

Ms. Burton will present general information about dementia and its causes along with how dementia impacts the mind, mood, and behavior. She will talk about some of the changes that come with dementia and will offer helpful strategies for caregivers. Please bring your questions!
