Tree Trimming: For safety reasons and bus access, the Town will be trimming trees near Town sidewalks, streets and rights of way over the next few weeks. 

The Town of Chesapeake Beach seeks sealed proposals for Maintenance Dredging of the Fishing Creek Channel. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on August 26th at 3:00 pm at Town Hall: 8200 Bayside Rd. Fishing Creek Channel:  The Town of Chesapeake Beach received a grant from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Waterway Improvement Fund to conduct an emergency dredging of Fishing Creek Channel. For the most current (July 2019) Fishing Creek Channel Survey, please click here .

A seat on the Chesapeake Beach Town Council was recently vacated by a Town Council member.  Chesapeake Beach residents interested in applying for the position should send their resumes to Sharon Humm, Town Clerk, at by August 23, 2019.

August 27 at 6 PM – Ethics Committee Meeting in Town Hall Chambers.

August 28 at 6:30 pm – The Chesapeake Beach Water Park will hold an End of Season Adult Swim Social? (ages 18+)  from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  There is no charge for Chesapeake Beach Residents and their guests. The Beachcomber Grille and the Cool Zone will remain open for anyone interested in purchasing dinner or snacks. To RSVP, please click here . 

September 7 at 10 AM to Noon – CANCELLED due to unavailable spat from the hatchery caused by extremely low salinity.  OYSTER RELOCATION.  CBOCS is moving oysters from the hatchery to Fishing Creek. The location is Marina West. Need 25+ volunteers to load cages, count spat and take the oysters to the creek. Wear water shoes and be prepared to get wet to the waist or sit at the table and count spat. Pizza will be served as usual.

September 9 at 6 PM – The Town Council will hold an Informational Work Session in Town Hall Chambers.

September 11 at 7:00 pm – Planning and Zoning meeting in Town Hall Chambers.

September 14 from 12 pm – 5pm.  Mark your calendars for the third annual Taste the Beaches @ Kellam’s Field.  Admission is FREE. Over 65 vendors have been signed up for the event, to date.  Let us know if you plan to join us by clicking here .  To view or print an event flyer, click here .

Calling all Volunteers! We are looking for volunteers for the Taste the Beaches event on Saturday, September 14th between 11 am and 6 pm  at Kellam’s Field (however much time you can spare will be appreciated). Please email if you are interested in volunteering.

October 2-9 — the EDNA E. LOCKWOOD heritage tour. See the last sailing bugeye oyster boat at the Rod  ‘N’ Reel marina. Up to 1 hour tours to learn about ship restoration and early oyster harvesting. Great photo opportunity for the whole family.  For more information, click here .
