October 2-9 the EDNA E. LOCKWOOD heritage tour. See the last sailing bugeye oyster boat at the Rod  ‘N’ Reel Marina. Up to 1-hour tours to learn about ship restoration and early oyster harvesting. Great photo opportunity for the whole family.  For more information, click here.


The Calvert County Department of Public Safety reminds citizens to prepare for inclement weather Friday-Saturday September 7th resulting from the track of Hurricane Dorian. Winds will average 20-25 mph through Friday afternoon, with the potential for power outages, downed trees, and other debris. The storm is expected to create higher than normal tides, leading to minor to moderate flooding along with low-lying areas of the county. Citizens are reminded to find alternate routes if travel routes are blocked by standing water.

2020 Census Preparation – As a normal part of the 2020 Census preparation and data collection process you will notice census takers in the neighborhood. Census field representatives are currently doing address canvassing for Calvert County and across the United States. The representatives also continue to collect information for the American Community Survey (ACS) and other ongoing surveys.
