Prince Frederick, MD- An active-duty Air Force Colonel, based out of Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C., is out on a $10,000 bond after being indicted of five(5) counts relating to child sex abuse.

John William Connor, 54, of Dunkirk, MD has been charged and indicted on the following child sex abuse charges:

  • (1)Felony Child Sex Abuse;
  • (2)Forth-Degree sex offense;
  • (2)Second-Geree Assualt

The victims have been identified as 14-and 17-year olds and the incident was reported by an out-of-state relative on July 21, 2019.

The statement of charges from Detective Edward Yates of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office states that he conducted interviews(recorded) with both of the victims. Forensic evidence was collected from text messages reportedly sent by Connor to the victims.

One of the messages stated,” I’m sorry”, with a sad-faced cartoon. The forensic evidence and statements collected by Yates correspond with the timeline of the alleged incidents and also support their allegations of the abuse.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred between July 11,-17, 2019 and Connor was charged, and released on a $10,000 bond on August 8, 2019.

The case is being prosecuted by Calvert County State’s Attorney Rebecca Cordero.
