October 13th – Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum Annual Fall Family Fun Day at Northeast Community Center 4075 Gordon Stinnett Drive Chesapeake Beach. Activities include crafts, bingo, prizes, refreshments, moon bounce, face painting, and family-friendly entertainment. Free event, open to the public, drop-ins welcome.

?North Beach VFD Auxiliary’s Yard Sale will be held from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm every 2nd Saturday of the month from April to October. Please contact Diana after 5:00 pm, at 410/231-1775 to reserve a table.
October 11 through November 22, 1-3 pm — “Stepping On”: The Calvert County Office on Aging is excited to bring citizens “Stepping On”, a seven-week falls prevention program for Calvert County seniors. The free program brings in experts from the community to teach strength and balance exercises along with other strategies to prevent falls. Class sessions will be held on Fridays, October 11 through November 22, from 1-3 pm at Calvert Pines Senior Center in Prince Frederick. Seating is limited, please call (410) 535-4606, ext. 121, to sign up.
October 11 – CHICKEN CORDON BLEU DINNER – The Sons of the American Legion Stallings Williams Post 206 will present their popular CHICKEN dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The cost of $12 includes salad, sides, roll, and beverage. Dinner will be served in the Lower Level Dining Room located in the Post located at 3330 Chesapeake Beach Road, East on Route 260. Questions should be directed to 410-257-9878. October 12- COUNTRY DANCE. For a fun time, come to the Country Dance at the American Legion. If you can’t dance, teachers will be available to give instructions. One-hour lessons commence at 7:00 p.m. followed by dancing from 8:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. The modest price of $15.00 per person includes soft drinks or draft beer and light munchies. Hosted by the American Legion Stallings Williams Post 206, at 3330 Chesapeake Beach Road East, on Route 260, in the upper-level Ballroom in Chesapeake Beach.. Public warmly welcomed. October 13 – ALL-U-CARE TO-EAT BREAKFAST. Fortify yourself this Fall day before the Games, with a yummy breakfast featuring Hot Cakes, Sausage, Scrapple, Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Fruit, Home Fries, Biscuits, Fruit, and Chip Beef. Hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the upper-level Dining Room in Chesapeake Beach on Route 260. Public Welcome. Adults $10; kids 6-12 $5; kids under 6 free. October 13, 14, & 15 – REVIVAL from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.at the Interdenominational Union Church. Pastor David and Guest Pastor Roberto will conduct a series of meetings to answer the questions “who we are?”, why are we?”, and “where we go from here?” in a serious search for God’s Will. The Church is located next to the North Beach Town Hall at 8912 Chesapeake Avenue. While all are most cordially invited to attend, those who may not know Jesus will gain the most benefit. October 23 – 31 is Red Ribbon Week — Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. It began as a tribute to fallen DEA special agent Enrique Camerena in 1985.

November 9 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. 8th Annual Holiday Extravaganza, sponsored by the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department’s Auxiliary (8536 Bayside Rd., Chesapeake Beach MD 20732). 2020 Census Preparation – As a normal part of the 2020 Census preparation and data collection process you will notice census takers in the neighborhood. Census field representatives are currently doing address canvassing for Calvert County and across the United States. The representatives also continue to collect information for the American Community Survey (ACS) and other ongoing surveys.
