The Homicide Unit charged two men in connection with a fatal shooting in Oxon Hill on Monday. The victim is 24-year-old Howard Nakia Graham of Washington, DC. 

The suspects are 24-year-old Deantre Hilliard of the 1400 block of Tobias Drive in Southeast, Washington DC, and 39-year-old Leonard Toney of the 4400 block of Reverend Davis Drive in Upper Marlboro.  

On March 30th, at approximately 7:40 pm, patrol officers were called to the 800 block of Southern Avenue for a shooting. Officers found Graham outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. A second person was also shot. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Responding patrol officers observed a vehicle matching the car driven by the suspects. Officers stopped that car nearby and took the two suspects into custody. A gun was recovered in the vehicle. The motive for the shooting is under investigation.

The suspects are charged with first and second-degree murder and related charges. They are in custody at the Department of Corrections.
