UPDATE 4/4/2020 @ 9:30 a.m.- The Office of the State Fire Marshal-Southern Region was called to investigate the blaze at Captian Pat’s Seafood in Lexington Park, MD.

According to the report, the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department was the primary responding unit and fifty firefighters in total responded from all units. A passing motorist discovered the fire.

The fire was determined to be caused by a mechanical malfunction in the boiler.  The fire caused significant damage to the restaurant and its contents. It took 35 minutes for the firefighters to gain control of the blaze.

The estimated damage is $200,000 to the structure with $100,000 to the contents.


UPDATE 7:52 a.m.- Three Notch Road between FDR Boulevard and North Shangri La Drive is now reopened.

Lexington Park, MD 7:33 a.m.- Area Fire Companies are responding to a structure fire at listed as Captian Pats Seafood in Lexington Park.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office has closed Three Notch Road from FDR Boulevard to North Shangra La Drive.

Watch for emergency vehicles and personnel. Expect significant delays.
