Waldorf, MD- On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department(WVFD) was dispatched to a multi-structure fire on Tanglewood Drive. Upon arrival with sixty personnel, they discovered four townhomes on fire. The crews battled and gained control of the blaze in twenty(20) minutes.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal was called to investigate the cause. According to the preliminary report filed, the cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.  One firefighter was transported to MedStar Washington Hospital for burns.  The firefighter was treated and released within a few hours. 

Occupants of four townhouses were displaced as a result of the fire and are being assisted by The American Red Cross. 

The Fire Marhsal estimates the damage to be $175,000(structure) and $50,000(contenets).
