News Release, NAS Pax River Public Affairs Office
NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Md. – NAS Patuxent River has transitioned back to Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness (TCCOR) V following Hurricane Isaias moving out of the Southern Maryland region. NAS Patuxent River is open for business as usual under the provisions of HPCON Bravo. All personnel are expected to report to work on time. Gate 2 remains closed until further notice.
TCCOR V Indicates that we are currently in hurricane season (June 1 to Nov. 30), and all vulnerable installations should maintain at a minimum TCCOR V levels of readiness. TCCORs are the Navy’s guidelines for estimating how long a region has and the actions necessary before it will be hit by destructive winds. At each TCCOR level, installations and tenant commands have set actions or checklists to complete prior to the storm’s arrival.
Residents and personnel are reminded to maintain readiness throughout the hurricane season. For more information on maintaining emergency readiness, visit www.ready.navy.mil.
