How it Happened

The Seahawks’ best scoring run started with Emmey German sinking a lay-up from inside the paint. Caitlin Mays tied up the game from inside the paint bringing the score to 6-6. Neumann University went on a five-point scoring run late in the quarter bringing the game to 16-10 entering the second quarter.
  • In the second quarter, St. Mary’s College went on a scoring drought for a majority of the quarter which led to a 14 point deficit with two minutes remaining in the half. Two tough field goals in the paint by Manning and Stephanie Howell brought the deficit to ten, which ended the half.
  • The second half was much like the first with big scoring runs by the Knights. Stamper and Cassidy Kupchinskas ended the Knight’s first run of the quarter. • Stamper truly shined in the final quarter with seven points total. Halfway through the quarter, the Seahawks hit their offensive stride and went on a ten-point scoring run. A late six-point scoring run by the Knights helped secure their victory.
