Valley Lee, MD — A fire incident occurred at 19010 Russell Road, Valley Lee, St. Mary’s County, Maryland, involving a 2013 Cruiser RV View Finder. The Second District Volunteer Fire Department responded promptly to the blaze, controlling the fire within ten minutes. According to official reports, there were no injuries or deaths resulting from the incident.

The fire, which broke out on the morning of April 4, 2024, was discovered by the RV owner, Charles Moore. Firefighters, numbering 20, were dispatched to the scene following a single alarm. Their swift action prevented the fire from causing more significant damage.

The interior of the vehicle was identified as the area of origin, with the preliminary cause of the fire being deemed accidental. Although the RV suffered structural damage estimated at $8,000, there was no mention of contents lost in the incident. Neither smoke alarms nor fire sprinkler systems were installed in the RV, which is not uncommon for such vehicles.
