VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (NNS) — The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) expects to distribute nearly 35,000 free phone cards to Sailors and Marines away from their homeports and those forward deployed to overseas ports during the holidays.

To thank service members away from home this holiday season, the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) is giving away free $10 phone cards. NEXCOM expects to distribute nearly 35,000 free phone cards to Sailors and Marines away from their homeports and those forward deployed to overseas ports during the holidays.

“For over 10 years, NEXCOM has given free phone cards to Sailors and Marines deployed and away from home during the holiday season,” said NEXCOM’s Command Master Chief Shannon Howe. “As a military command, we understand the sacrifices our military members and their families make in service to our country. Being away from home during the holidays is never easy. We hope a phone call home on us will make it just a little easier.”
