Update 1/17/2018-The accidental fire was the result of a fire within the furnace located in the basement of the residence. The sole adult occupant was displaced as a result of the fire and is being assisted by the American Red Cross. The loss of structure($125,000) and property($50,000.00) is estimated to be $175,000.00.


UPDATE 1:44 p.m.- The fire has been placed under control. The previous report of a two-story home has been revised to a split foyer home.


Waldorf, MD 12:41 p.m.- A two-story house fire was reported on Timberbrook Drive in Waldorf, MD this afternoon. Units are on the scene. The units have tried to cut the power but are not able to at this time. Additionally, they are reporting that the fire is contained to the second level.

Expect units to remain in the area for the next few areas. The Fire Marshal has been requested, more information to come when a report is issued.
