January 20, 2018- At approximately 3:50 p.m. a neighbor alerted 911 to smoke coming from a residence at 2204 Pinefield Road, Waldorf, Charles County, Maryland.
The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded with 52 firefighters and had the fire under control in roughly 10 minutes. The Fire Marshal has determined the cause of the fire was an electrical malfunction within the exterior light on the back porch. No one was home at the time and the estimated damage is $50,000.00.
