Studio City, CA- News sources are reporting that former Washington Wizards shooting guard Rasual Butler(5/23/79-1/31/18) died this morning in a single car crash outside of Los Angeles. Butler’s wife, R&B singer and 2004 American Idol contestant also was killed. LA Police are not releasing any other information at this time.

Butler was drafted by and played for the Miami Heat from 2002- 2005; and then began a career moving to multiple teams including New Orleans(’06-’09), La Clippers(’09-’11), Chicago(’10-’11), Toronto(’11), Indiana(’13-’14), Washington(’14-’15) and San Antonio(’15-’16).

Butler was a graduate(’02) of La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA and has multiple honors there.
