On Monday morning at 6:51 a.m. a traffic accident was reported to the St. Mary’s County 911 Center involving a vehicle striking an electric pole on Loveville Road. The house fire was reported at 6:55 a.m. The investigation revealed the traffic accident caused an electrical failure within the house. The Structure damage is estimated at $174,000 and the contents at $50,000.
The owner of the house was displaced and is being assisted by family members and the Red Cross.
