February 10, we are hosting a SAR (Search and Rescue) training exercise on behalf of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government (MWCOG), Police Chiefs, and Search Operations Subcommittee. The exercise will give police SAR teams in the region an opportunity to work through several continuous operational periods while integrating search managers and search teams from multiple law enforcement agencies. The SAR will include search managers, ground searchers, water and air assets as well as SAR K9 teams.
All of this is taking place at two locations in Charles County: Smallwood State Park, 2750 Sweden Point Road in Marbury, and Doncaster State Forest in Nanjemoy.
