The Tri-County Animal Shelter is pleased to announce the following March monthly promotions and reminders:
Paws to Read (Thursday, March 1 to Saturday, March 31)
Come give the shelter pups some extra love and enrichment by reading to them. Bring your favorite book or read one of ours. You can visit the animals Mondays through Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
St. Catrick’s Day (Saturday, March 17)
On this special day, all cat adoption fees will be reduced to $3 and all kitten fees to $17. Come in and find your furry match. You and your new friend will both feel lucky!
Volunteers Needed
The shelter is always in need of volunteers, ages 14 and older, to assist with caring for the many animals at our facility. There are several volunteer duties offered, including walking shelter dogs, spending time with the cats, taking photos of adoptable pets, general housekeeping, washing dishes and toys, cleaning kennels, and assisting with laundry. Volunteer as little or as much as you’d like. Call the shelter at 301-932-1713 for additional information and volunteer paperwork.
The Tri-County Animal Shelter is located at 6707 Animal Shelter Road in Hughesville. Shelter staff can be reached at 301-932-1713 or 800-903-1992.
