...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM EST THIS EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...
The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has issued a Coastal Flood Warning, which is in effect until 10 PM EST this evening. A Coastal Flood Watch has also been issued.
This Coastal Flood Watch is in effect from 10 PM EST this evening through Wednesday morning. The Coastal Flood Advisory is no longer in effect.
* LOCATIONS...Shoreline in St. Marys County.
* TIDAL DEPARTURE...1.5 to 2.5 feet above normal.
* TIMING...Within a few hours of high tide through Wednesday morning. The next high tides at Point Lookout are at 4:42 PM and
5:15 AM. The next high tides at Piney Point are at 5:54 PM and 6:07 AM. The next high tides at Coltons Point are at 6:30 PM and 6:43 AM.
* IMPACTS...Water is expected to cover roads on St. Georges Island, be in yards, and approach structures. To the east, inundation is expected at multiple marinas off St. Mary`s River,
Smith Creek, and Jutland Creek. Shoreline inundation is possible
elsewhere.
Forecast tides are referenced to mean lower low water (MLLW) and mean higher high water (MHHW) unless otherwise noted. Time of high total tide is approximate to nearest hour. Total tide combines the normal tide and departure from normal. Flood impact is based on the total tide and waves where applicable.
