The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners recognized their very own Administrative Aide Lisa Tolomei as the February Employee of the Month. Lisa was recognized for consistently providing excellent customer service to county government staff liaisons, employees and the public on issues related to the county’s appointed volunteer boards and commissions.
In recent years, the level of scrutiny surrounding financial disclosure requirements, ethics-related issues and compliance with the Open Meetings Act has increased immensely and Lisa is diligent at mastering emerging issues. She is highly responsive in providing comprehensive technical assistance to staff board liaisons and is able to answer a variety of questions about the specific member composition and requirements of more than 50 volunteer boards, committees and commissions. More than that, she proactively assists the Board of County Commissioners with public commitments and their itineraries and calendars.
“I can tell you without a doubt, whatever job Lisa is given, she immerses herself in it to the point where you don’t have to worry about anything,” said Commissioner Vice President tom Hejl. “She knows what she is doing and we all depend on Lisa. It’s a pleasure to see her get this award.”
