You may see increased police and emergency service personnel at Thomas Stone and North Point high schools on Monday, March 26. It is only a DRILL. The schools are taking part in the national Every 15 Minutes program.
The program — sponsored by the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department — offers real-life experiences to expose teenagers to the dangerous consequences of impaired and distracting driving. The two-day event includes a simulated traffic accident on the school grounds. The “accident” at Thomas Stone will occur around 9:15 a.m. North Point’s “accident” will take place around 1 p.m. On Tuesday, the schools will host assemblies for students.
