Fishing Creek Bridge Traffic Pattern update – The State Highway Administration will be operating the Fishing Creek bridge under an alternate traffic route for approximately another 1-2 weeks. During this time, residents should expect the traffic to be split with northbound traffic on the new bridge and southbound traffic on the old bridge. There will not be any restriction for vehicles turning left into Mears; however the new turn lane is still not yet available.

Take the Broadband Demand Survey – The Southern Maryland Minority Chamber Foundation, in partnership with last Mile Broadband of Maryland LLC, was awarded a Rural Maryland Council grant to conduct Broadband Demand Surveys in Southern Prince George’s and in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s counties.  The results of the surveys will help bring affordable high-speed broadband services to your community.  The survey will take about 5 minutes to complete.

We ask that residents join our elected officials, and the Maryland Municipal League, in petitioning our legislators to support the Highway User Revenue restoration bill during this 2018 General Assembly. Please find a 60-second Public Service Announcement (PSA) below, for further information on the need to restore funds for local roads. Sunday, April 1, 2018– Bayside Baptist Sunrise and Easter Services-7:00AM and 10:30 AM.  All are invited to join us for our special Easter Sunrise Service which will be held at the Chesapeake Beach Veterans Park at 7:00 AM.  Regular worship services will also be held at 10:30 AM in the church worship center. Bible Fellowship will be at 9:00AM at the church.  During the 10:30 Worship time, The Bayside’s Worship Choir will lead in a special Easter Musical Service.
