College of Southern Maryland Men's Baseball Team

The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Baseball team, 11-10, has been on a mid-season nine-game winning streak, as the Hawks turned around their tentative start. Beginning with a win March 14 against Union County College, the team found its rhythm and notched nine wins in a row, continuing the streak through the following eight games in March.

“This stretch is the longest winning streak we have had since I have been a coach here,” said Head Coach Aaron Michael, who has been with the Hawks for 11 years. “It truly has been a team effort as all three facets of the game have stepped up.”

Offensively, the Hawks scored an average of seven runs a game and achieved an average of more than 16 runners to reach base per game during the streak. The team’s pitching has been strong, with four different starters throwing complete games during the stretch. Defensively, the team has turned 10 double plays during the winning period.
