First Annual Spring Bar Crawl
Friday, April 20, 2018
12 noon – 2 a.m.
Live music until 10 p.m.
Many thanks to The Rex, Olde Town Pub, The Front Porch in Leonardtown, Social Speakeasy, and Dos Amigos for planning this first time event. We’re seeing a lot of questions, so we are hoping the following post will help.
– Is it really starting at 12 noon on a Friday?
Yes. The organizers realized that the Tiki Bar on Solomons was not opening this year and have planned this event as an alternative.
– So we can walk through the streets with our drinks?
NO. In order to protect the alcohol licenses of these establishments, ALL alcohol must be consumed at the same location where it was purchased. You may not walk between venues with your drinks.
– What does it cost?
There is no admission fee, but each bar may charge a cover charge. Otherwise, it is just the cost of what you consume. A Portion of the proceeds from the event are being donated to Great Mills High School.
– Where do we park?
Parking is available at each venue, public parking lots and on street parking. All “private property”, “no parking signs” and “reserved parking” signs will be enforced.
– Event organizers are STRONGLY encouraging all participants to have a designated driver available so that everyone gets home safely.
– Will the roads be closed?
No. At this time we are not planning to close roads. Law enforcement will be on site, however, and reserve the right to close roads and re-direct traffic as they deem necessary.
– Is the music in the Square?
No. Each establishment will be providing their own music/entertainment. Please see photos attached for the line up at The Rex and the Olde Town pub.
We hope everyone who comes enjoys themselves, but please have a designated driver and be respectful of the venues, the venue owners and employees, other patrons, the police and the Town so that we can host a 2nd Annual Spring Bar Crawl next year!
