”The Arts Council of Calvert County is thrilled to be a part of this public art display. With the help and financial support of the Maryland State Arts Council, we were able to contribute to this beautiful gate making it the reality you see today. We were thrilled to apply for the grant that helped make this possible and appreciate the Maryland State Arts Council allowing us to revise our grant application so that the funds could be used where they were needed most.” , Bob Carpenter, President of the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce and past Board member of the  Art Council of Calvert County

“It has been such a pleasure to work with Mayor Mark Frazer and his staff on this incredible gate and public art project in North Beach. It is a wonderful time to be involved in the arts in Calvert County and Southern Maryland and special thanks to the support from the Maryland State Arts Council that allows our area to encourage young talent in our Public Schools and support our own growing artistic community. Art is encouraged in Calvert County and the Arts Council is there to support ideas.”  Carol Energy, Executive Director af fhe Arts Council of Calvert County
