Encourage your young athletes to register for the annual Youth Triathlon at St. Charles High School (5305 Piney Church Road, Waldorf) on Sunday, June 10. This event is open to all youth 15 years old and younger. Each child will swim, bike, and run specified distances determined by their age group. Check-in/registration time is 7 a.m. The event starts at 8 a.m.
All participants will wear a chip to track their time throughout the event. The Recreation Division has partnered with the Race Works Gruppetto, the official scoring and timing company of the Fairfax 2016 Police and Fire World Games, to time the event. Awards will be presented to the first, second, and third place male and female in each category. All participants will receive a medal.
Register by Wednesday, May 16 to qualify for the early bird registration fee of $35. Registration from Thursday, May 17 to Friday, June 9 is $40. All participants registered before Wednesday, May 23 will be guaranteed a T-shirt. On-site registration will be available the day of the event with a fee of $50.
