ERIE, Pa. – The Baysox (12-11) plated four runs in the third, LHPKeegan Akinfanned a career-high 12 and Bowie snapped a four-game skid with a 7-3 win over the Erie SeaWolves (8-15) on Tuesday night at UPMC Park in Erie.

The 12 strikeouts are the most by a Baysox pitcher since RHPRadhames Lizfanned 14 on August 14, 2007 vs. Connecticut.
Erie cut the lead in half with solo runs in the fourth and fifth including a solo shot fromKody Eavesin the fourth.
SeaWolves starterSandy Baez(0-2) gave up five runs on 11 hits to go along with a walk and two strikeouts in 6.0 IP.
A pair of solo home runs in the seventh off the bats of Joseph andAustin Haysextended the Bowie lead to 7-2. The home run was Joseph’s second in as many nights and third of the year, while Hays is tied for the team lead with four round-trippers.
