Lusby, MD May 9, 2018: Members of the Solomons Volunteer Fire Department noticed smoke coming form the area of San Juan Court in Lusby, MD. When they begin to investigate they discovered a 2-story, single family home on fire. Forty firefighters worked to contain the fire in roughly 40 minutes.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal investigated the cause/origin of the blaze and found it to be an electrical event from the second floor of the home. No one was home at the time and the owner is being assisted by family and the American Red Cross. The estimated loss of the home is $230,000.00
