In the afore-mentioned five-run first for Trenton, a pair of walks and a single loaded the bases beforeAbiatal Avelinodrove in a pair with a two-run double andGosuke Katohcame through two batters later with a two-run single.
The Baysox cut the lead to 5-1 with a run in the second asAderlin Rodriguezreached on a fielder’s choice, went to second on a single, took third on a fielder’s choice and scored onErick Salcedo‘ssac fly.Ben Ruta’ssac fly in the home half of the second stretched Trenton’s lead to 6-1.
Bowie starterJayson Aquino(1-2) gave up six runs on six hits to go along with four walks and two strikeouts in two innings of work.Corban Josephled off the top of the third with a double and scored three batters later onAustin Hays‘two-out RBI single to bring the Baysox within 6-2. Trenton starter Ryan Bollinger (3-0) allowed the two runs on six hits while walking one and fanning three in 6.0 IP. Bollinger had not allowed a run in his first 14.0 IP with the Thunder prior to tonight.
