Monday: League of Women Voters of St. Mary’s County Primary Candidates Forum. Candidates in contested primary races for Clerk of the Circuit Court (Republican ballot), State Senator District 29, Sheriff, County Commissioner District 1 (Republican ballot) and County Commissioner District 2 (Democratic ballot) will answer citizen questions. The forum gets underway at 5:30 p.m. at the Lexington Park Library, 21677 FDR Blvd. in Lexington Park. Tuesday: The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County will begin their day by holding a joint meeting with members of the Metropolitan Commission at 9 a.m. in California. Commissioners plan to approve Metcom’s FY19 Capital improvement Budget and FY 2020 – 2024 plan. Saturday: Drivin Muzzy headlines this month’s Downtown Tunes concert in the Leonardtown Square. Downtown Tunes is a FREE concert series that features a variety of music genres including jazz, country, bluegrass, acoustic and rock-n-roll performed by local artists.
