The Tri-County Animal Shelter is pleased to announce the following July monthly promotions and reminders:

Maryland 2000 (Sunday, July 1 to Tuesday, July 31)

During the month of July, the Tri-County Animal Shelter is teaming up with other shelters in the state of Maryland to reach the goal of finding homes for at least 2,000 cats and kittens across the state. Feline adoption fees will be waived so come to the shelter and find yourself a new furry family member!

Coming to an Area Near You (Saturdays,July 7,July 14 and July 21)

The shelter will be out in your neighborhood with animals available for adoption. Stop by and meet animals available for adoption onSaturday, July 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 the Tractor Supply White Plains (10795 Wawa Lane, White Plains) and from11 a.m. to 4 Pet Valu Brandywine (15904 Crain Hwy, Brandywine). The shelter will also be at the St. Charles Towne Center (11110 Mall Circle, Waldorf) from10 a.m. to 3 p.m.onSaturday, July 14and Pet Valu Brandywine (15904 Crain Hwy, Brandywine) again onSaturday, July 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

National No Pet Store Puppies Day (Saturday, July 21)

This day is to inform and remind loved ones about puppy mills and to adopt instead of buying puppies. The shelter is celebrating this special day by reducing the adoption fee for dogs and puppies. Pups under 1 year: $100, adults 1-5 years: $75, seniors over 6 years: $50. Visit on this special day and you might just find your new best friend.

Discounted Spay/Neuter Clinics

Are you income-disadvantaged and own pets? You may qualify for discounted altering of pets. Call Humane Society of Charles County at 301-645-8181 or Paw Prints Animal Hospital at 301-885-0263 for more details.
