IMPORTANT NOTICE: All candidates for public office who displayed political signs during the recent primary are reminded to please remove them if you have not done so, as per Town Code §290-22, Section F (1) (j) Temporary signs announcing a campaign, drive, or event of a civic, philanthropic, educational, or religious organization. Such signs shall not exceed 12 square feet in area and shall be removed not more than five days after the event. Temporary signs shall not be permitted for more than 60 days per year.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:  The Town expects the boardwalk from 14th and B street to 11th and B street (or the Bayfront Park B Street entrance) to be closed for the next 60 days. The Town needs to be assured that the soil above the boardwalk is stable prior to any repairs taking place on the boardwalk. Residents should be aware that the areas that are blocked off to the public are done so for safety and should not attempt to pass them. Thank you for your patience as we ensure the public’s safety.
2018 Moonlight Cruises – The Town of Chesapeake Beach invites you to spend a summer evening cruising aboard “Miss Lizzy,” docked at Rod ‘N’ Reel Marina. Miss Lizzy is sixty-five feet long and carries 65 passengers.  We are offering two cruise dates for Summer 2018; Saturday, June 16 (CANCELLED), Friday, July 20 from 7:30 – 9:30 pm and Friday, August 25 from 7 – 9 pm. The cost is $32 per person.   Although children are welcome, these cruises are more suited for adults. 2018 Maryland Natural Resource Photo Contest – Enter the 2018 Maryland Natural Resource Photo Contest!  The 15th Annual Maryland Department of Natural Resources Photo Contest runs now through August 31, 2018. Winners will be featured in the department’s 2019 wall calendar and published in the winter 2019 edition of the magazine. July 14 – American Legion Country Dance.  For a fun time, come to the Country Dance in the upper level Ballroom at the American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206 on Route 260 in Chesapeake Beach.  If you can’t dance, teachers will be available to give free instruction.  One hour lessons commence at 7:00 p.m. followed by dancing to the tunes of the Southern Winds Band. from 8:00 p.m. until 11:30. The modest price of $15.00 per person includes fountain soft drinks or draft beer, pretzels, and chips.  Public Welcome.   For information call 410-257-9878. July 28 (NEW DATE) – Oyster transfer from Fishing Creek to Old Rock Reef — 10 AM – Noon @ Abner’s Boat Yard.  CBOCS needs 25 volunteers to unload oyster cages, scrape cages, deliver oysters via boat to the reef in the bay and measure oyster survivability rate.  GREAT EVENT FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO EARN SOME COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDITS.  Pier cage growers please bring your cages.  Rain date is August 4.
