Brigade and Empire to host this weekend’s playoffs games

LAS VEGAS – A trip to ArenaBowl XXXI is on the line this weekend as the four teams face-off in their second home-and-home series game. Last week, the No. 2 Baltimore Brigadedominated on the road against the No. 3 Philadelphia Soul, winning game one 57-45. The No. 4 Washington Valor came up just short in their initial bid of upset, losing 57-56 in overtime against the No. 1 Albany Empire. It is now the Brigade and Empire’s turn to host, with ArenaBowl in everyone’s sight. Here are the scenarios heading into this weekend:

Philadelphia at Baltimore on Friday, July 20 at 7 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network

Baltimore leads +12 vs. Philadelphia

  • If Baltimore wins this weekend they go to ArenaBowl XXXI
  • If Philadelphia wins by 13 points or more they go to ArenaBowl XXXI
  • If Philadelphia wins by 12 points, the game will move to normal overtime rules until a winner is declared
  • If Philadelphia and Baltimore are tied at the end of regulation, Baltimore will advance +12 due to the aggregate

Washington at Albany on Saturday, July 21 at 7:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network

Albany leads +1 vs. Washington

  • If Albany wins this weekend, they go to ArenaBowl XXXI
  • If Washington wins by 2 points or more they go to ArenaBowl XXXI
  • If Washington wins by 1 point, the game will move to normal overtimes rules until a winner is declared
  • If Washington and Albany are tied at the end of regulation, Albany will advance +1 due to the aggregate

ArenaBowl XXXI will take place the weekend of July 28 and be hosted by the participating team with the highest regular season home attendance average. Exact date and time will be announced at the conclusion of this weekend’s games.
