The Department of Public Works Capital Services Division is scheduled to begin Phase I of the Bryans Road Sewer Rehabilitation Project on Monday, Aug. 13.  During this phase, repairs will be made to sewer lines and manholes along Marshall Hall Road and within the Myers Estates Subdivision. Homes and businesses impacted by service interruptions will receive notification fliers approximately 24 to 72 hours in advance. Heavy rain or weekends could delay repairs.

The purpose of this project is to reduce the amount of groundwater and rainwater which infiltrates the sewer system and flow to the Mattawoman Waste Water Treatment Plant. This will decrease operation and maintenance costs and reduce volume in the sewer system that contributes to sanitary sewer overflows during heavy rains.

For questions or concerns, call the Department of Public Works at 301-609-7400. Citizens with special needs may contact the Maryland Relay Service at 711, or Relay Service TDD: 800-735-2258.
