University of Maryland (UM) Charles Regional Center for Wound Healing received the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Center of Excellence award for the 4th consecutive year, as a result of meeting the Center of Distinction quality standards for Healogics.

To achieve this honor the center received more than 92 percent patient satisfaction ratings and healing rates of at least 91 percent. These results and other quality standards were accomplished in less than 30 median days, for a minimum of two consecutive years. Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services, awarded this prestigious honor to the UM Charles Regional Center for Wound Healing. Out of 340 eligible centers, only 268 received this award, which is named after Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and former chief medical officer for Healogics.

The Center for Wound healing also received the Center of Distinction award for the 5th successive year, as a result of achieving outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal.

The UM Charles Regional Center for Wound Healing is a member of the Healogics network of nearly 700 centers across the U.S., with more than 300,000 patients treated by Healogics providers in 2017.
