Damages during recent storms; Are you a local business that encountered damage during the recent flooding and storms? IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please be sure to put your trash and recycling out the evening before your pick up. The trash company will begin pick ups at 5:00 am due to the summer heat this will continue until September.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Town expects the boardwalk from 14th and B street to 11th and B street (or the Bayfront Park B Street entrance) to be closed until further notice. The Town needs to be assured that the soil above the boardwalk is stable prior to any repairs taking place on the boardwalk. Residents should be aware that the areas that are blocked off to the public are done so for safety and should not attempt to pass them. The Town has contracted a geotechnical engineer to provide a global stability analysis of the B street slope after the slope has showed signs of deterioration and damaged the Boardwalk. The geotechnical engineer has provided August 25th as the expected completion date for the analysis. Once reviewed, the Town will have a better understanding of the work that is needed to ensure the boardwalk is safe to repair and reopen to the public. We thank you for your patience while this review takes place.
