St. Mary’s College of Maryland is a top college in America, according to a 2018 ranking by Forbes of America’s Top Colleges. In fact, St. Mary’s College is listed among the top 250 in Forbes Best Value Colleges, 74th in public colleges, 77th in liberal arts universities, and 97th in the Northeast. According to Forbes, “St. Mary’s College of Maryland is a secular public honors college in St. Mary’s City, Md. St. Mary’s has more than 75 degree programs. Some 40% of St. Mary’s students study abroad. The campus is home to a 100-plus-seat movie theater, fire pits, grills and a waterfront facility equipped with kayaks and paddleboards, as well as The Boyden Gallery and Collection, a 2,000-piece art museum with works by Dali and Picasso.
St. Mary’s awards grants and scholarships to nearly 90% of financial aid applicants. St. Mary’s College teams, known as the Seahawks, participate as members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division III.”
