Charlotte, N.C- The Boys Scouts of America(BSA), in conjunction with the Consumer Product Safety Commission(CPSC) have issued a recall for approximate 110,000 neckerchief slides that have been found to contain lead above Federal guidelines. 

According to the report, the high level of lead is found in the colored enamel part of the neckerchief slide. 

The recalled styles are red wolf, green bear, orange lion and Webelos blue. Respectively, they contain the P.O. numbers,  
200228276, 20023175, 200233281 or 200236630; located on a white label on the back of the slide.

The slides were sold at various Boy Scouts of America stores, www.scoutshop.org, and distributed Nationwide between February -August 2018.

Parents and Scout Leaders are urged to stop using these particular slides and return them to the BSA store or distributions for a replacement. 

No instances of illness or death has been reported.
