Lexington Park, MD-  The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office took children fishing over the weekend in its first Cops and Bobbers event.


The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office thanks the sponsors of the Cops and Bobbers event. 

Deputies, Chaplains and members of the Lexington Park COPS Unit hosted selected students from Carver Elementary School, Lexington Park Elementary School and Spring Ridge Middle School at no cost to the children.

The fish were biting Saturday morning at Sanner’s Lake Sportsmen’s Club in Lexington Park as the children caught largemouth bass, crappie and sunfish.
